Wheel Alignment

If your wheels are not properly aligned it will have a serious impact on the life of your tyres.

On London roads it is almost impossible to avoid curbs and potholes so inevitably your wheel alignment (tracking) will become slightly off over time.  We see vans, cars, minibuses, taxis, trucks and even hearses with this problem every day.

Check your tyres to see if they appear to be wearing out on the outside or inside edge more than the rest of the tyre.  You may also notice that your steering wheel slightly pulls to one side or another.  If this is the case then it’s very likely that your tyres are out of alignment.

Wearing on the outside/inside of a tyre is an indication of the wheels being misaligned.

Fortunately, this is not a difficult problem to put right.  At Advance, we have the equipment and the experience to detect and correct misalignment in no time.  Our equipment can see if your front two tyres are not 100% aligned with the each other and if they are completely parallel with the rear tyres.

If we find that the tracking is slightly off then a few minor adjustments to your car, van, minibus, taxi or truck’s track rods will straighten them out.

Some high performance cars have their wheel alignment set differently to other cars but we can easily check the manufacturer’s recommendations and adjust them accordingly.
